Meeting Tomorrow

Hey Everyone! It's that time of month again! That awesome time when amazing people get together and express opinions on a book they've read. We will be getting together this Tuesday April 30th, at 7pm, in Apt 330! Come and discuss The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater with us!

Meeting This Friday!

Hey Everyone!

Just a reminder that we will be meeting this Friday the 29th at 7pm in Apt 329.  It's going to be a blast, so be sure to come! We will have an intriguing discussion on The City Of Bones, an activity that goes with the book, and a treat (most likely coconut pancakes).

Make sure to read the book before coming. If you haven't /don't read the book before the meeting, come anyway! Everyone's welcome regardless if you've read the book or not, but it's more fun if you have read it. So if you haven't, start now, it really is a great book!

I know it's on a Friday night (not Thursday like usual) but I hope everyone can still come! If you have a hot date Friday, bring them to book club and show them your intellectual side. (Though if you want to impress them, you might want to make sure you read the book.) If you don't have a date (or other plans) come and meet new people or hang out with the awesome ones you already know!

Meetings

Hi folks! Eminar Book Club is starting back up this January! We will start this new year with a book being introduced by me at the first meeting in 2013! The date, time, and place will be announced in a few weeks for our first official meeting. I am really excited for this to take place! "It is about time!" as my Grandmother would say.

What are things that you looking for towards the new year? What would you like to see from Eminar? Do you know of any hidden treasures in the Provo/SLC area?

We are excited to get back to y'all and to start the reading festivities! Until then happy holidays and don't eat too much!

xoxo,
Megan

Dan Wells Signing

Hello all! I just wanted to make people aware of some upcoming events in the Provo/Orem area.

Dan Wells will be having a signing tomorrow at 7pm at the Orem Barnes and Noble. He will most likely be talking about his new book The Hollow City. While at Conduit, I was lucky enough to be able to hear Dan read an excerpt from this book, and I must say it sounds positively intriguing. As much as I want to go to this signing, it is a Monday night, and our FHE is a photo scavenger hunt, which I must say sounds pretty awesome. For those of you in the area who don't have previous plans, I would definitely recommend going. Dan is a talented writer with a wicked sense of humor, and an all around nice guy. I predict that the chances of enjoying yourself at this event are 99.9%. So go have a good time and enjoy being entertained by and meeting an awesome author.

Secondly, The Provo City Library is having their Teen & Adult Summer Reading Grand Prize Drawing & Party July 30th at 7pm. Yes, I know, yet another Monday, but it looks like it will be fun so you should check that out if you have time.

That's about it for now. If I hear of anything else, I will most definitely keep you posted. Happy reading everyone!

Prologue

It all started with returning books to the Provo City Library and finding out Eoin Colfer was having a book signing. With excitement, three girls - Rachel, Natalie, and Megan decided to buy his books and have Eoin Colfer sign them! As they were waiting for his books, the girls started talking and planning a monthly book club. They decided upon the name 'Eminar' because it is all three of their initials now in word formation. And it all started from there!

With Eminar's Book Club, we will be having monthly meetings to discuss a book that was introduced at the previous meeting. There will be guest speakers, food, and knowledge gained at each meeting. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather with our fellow readers in Utah County! So come join us and lets discover books together!
